043 - A New Year's eve Dinner

Just came back from dinner with my aunt. We had Korean. It was just the 3 of us. Me, sis and aunt. My parents had plans with their kakis. A number of my aunts and uncles either already had plans or were away on holiday in Hong Kong and Hainan-the Hawaii of the East. The restaurant was packed I tell you. The waiters were so busy that they didn't even have time to refill our drinks. We even had to wait for 30 minutes for the bill. There were still so many people waiting when we left. I smelled like barbeque sauce after leaving form the restaurant....
I overheard a few people's conversations saying that they're heading to somewhere-somewhere to countdown after the meal. My uncle used to take us to a hill in Kinrara on New Year's Eve to watch fireworks. You can actually see 3 different fireworks display from there. But every year it gets lower andlower for some reason and gets blinded by new buildings >_<
Sitting at home in front of a laptop which isn't mine-my CPU went for a check-up-IMing. Why I'm spending New Year's Eve at home and not out there partying my ass off with my buddies couting down to the start of the new year you ask. Well, it's mainly 'cuz I hate crowds. And when there's a crowd it gets stuffy. And when it's stuffy I get cranky. Hey, it rhymes.
Oh, congrats to those who did well in PMR.Whee~~Finally it's over for you guys. And my turn has just yet begun.
My last post for 2008.Again, Happy New Year's people!!!

I’m welcoming the New Year with a brand spanking new skin for my bloggie. Ha. Yesterday night I only took down my old textbooks from my shelves and replaced them with the Sec 3 one’s. Kinda last minute right? But I know some of you out there haven’t even gotten ready for school to start yet. Yeah well, including me.

While I was at it, I re-ironed my uniforms-it got squished- and only noticed that my tie was missing. Searched for it high and low around the house but still couldn’t find it. *sigh* It’s my turn now to do my PMR next year. At the sound of that word, my heart starts to crumble down slowly. We’re not even gonna be able to finish the syllabus before the trials no matter how fast the teacher teaches in school. Why do we have to take it, huh? We’ll get to go to Sec 4 anyway even if we fail. Stupid Malaysian Education.

I'm not in blogging mode currently so this post seems kinda sucky.Have a great New Year's Eve. May it be filled full of awesomenessss...!
P.S. I have no idea who's Si Meh.

Came back from Singapore on Monday. I didn't post right away 'cuz I was really, extremely tired. The 5 hours bus ride there this time was totally awful. There were 2 drivers on the bus. They'll each take turns to drive. So on out trip there, one of the drivers-a fatso fella-fell asleep when it wasn't his turn to drive. He was snoring so freakishly loudly. He was the only guy snoring on the bus. It was so annoying that I felt like smacking him in the head!

On the ride back to Malaysia, there were 3 drivers but one of them took off half-way. I was devastated when the fatso driver-it's different from the first-opened his mouth. I tell you the guy's voice was like booming through a speaker. I swear, you could even hear his voice at the end of the bus. At least the other two had some respect for us passengers. The same fatso guy miscounted the passengers after we got on the bus at the Singapore customs. A guy that sat across from the lady came up and told them that they left her there.

The conversation went something like this~~

Cute Singaporean guy: Excuse me sir, one of the passengers isn't on board yet
Loud Fatso driver: (turns around shockingly) What?!
Cute Singaporean guy: The lady in the single seat.
Loud Fatso driver: (talks to the other driver) Make a u-turn over there. I thought there were only 24 people. I got confused.

Ha...!Yeah, right. Making up stupid excuses. What's worse is that he didn't even apologize to the poor lady. He even said "Luckily, she didn't cry". WTH??!!

I didn't get much things there as it wasn't really cheap. If it's in Sing Dollars it's ridiculously cheap, of course. Compared to here, it's almost the same. The difference is that there are discounts in practically all the shops that we pass buy. I got myself a Yak Pak. It has a funny name, ain't it? I purchased a backpack from the collection.

You can visit the site at www.yakpak.com. But they don't really have much though. I'm not sure why. If you're to visit Singapore, you can get these collections from a store called Spin The Bottle. I saw plenty of other designs that wasn't on the site there. There were complicated designs to simple ones. The SA said that they were only 50 of each designs in Singapore.

I didn't really get enough sleep while I was there. Slept for only 5 hours max. Mainly 'cuz I shared a room with my 2 cousins who has a bad sinus problem. So, when they fall asleep, their breathing intends to get pretty heavy. And another cousin of mine has a habit of watching tv until midnight passes and falls asleep halfway watching without turning off the tv. And early in the morning, my youngest cousin will come barging in our room-it's an attached room-jumping on our beds, pulling back our curtains to let the glaring sunlight shining in and yelling at the top of his lungs to get us to wake up. I already have difficulties sleeping even though it's quite, what more when there are slight distractions. I will even automatically wake up if it's raining and will not go back to sleep till it stops. It's stupid, I know.

Enough of the complains, today's Christmas. Have a fabulous one guys!

I think that only my family doesn't own a camera. Actually, we did. It 'conged'. My mom went to get one in Digital Mall on Tuesday. It's an Olympus one. If I'm not mistaken, the model is u1040. We got it for 780 bucks. Not sure we kena con or get it cheap or not 'cuz we didn't compare prices with other shops. We purchased this one.

Cun right? It's just the size of my palm and it's only 16 mm thick...!

We had to get the camera 'cuz my sis was nagging my mom about it. FYI, when my sis wants something, she'll nag you till your ears fall off. She needed the camera to take pictures of her miniature clay stuff that she made for 'Comic Fiesta' this weekend. At first she borrowed my uncle's camera but he needed it this weekend 'cuz he'll be heading to Singapore this weekend. I'll be also joining him and his family on an all expense paid holiday-by him of course-there.

Now, let me do a 'lil promoting for my sis. She'll be selling these.

This one's my favourite.

These are from Anime characters that either I don't know and never heard of them. I'm not and Anime-fan like my sis. There are still plenty of other characters that she made-which I'm lazy to post. As I've mentioned, she'll be setting a booth with her friend at Comic Fiesta-this Anime thing-in Sunway Convention Center this weekend, to sell these. It's priced at RM 7.90 each. From what I heard, her friend will be selling her own handmade crafts. If you're free, go drop by and say hi and maybe get one for yourself or as a gift since Christmas is coming =p. She made them with blood, sweat, heart and soul. As for me, I had to endure her tantrums when the characters doesn't come out in one piece.

Woke up earlier than usual today- earlier as in a few hours earlier- Just so we’ll be able get a good parking spot and to avoid the crowd and traffic at Mid Valley. Well, I’m sure you guys know what it’s like. So, we found a parking spot in less than 5 minutes. Had lunch as soon as we entered the building, at this Korean food parlor in Gardens. I don’t remember what the name of the place was but it’s not bad. It’s almost similar to the one in Asian Avenue, Sunway.

There were already many people by the time we finished our meal. Mostly last minute shopping for Christmas. Typical Malaysians. And I watched Bolt. My aunt and sis didn’t want to watch the 3D one so we settled for the normal. It was a fun movie. Ha…I enjoy watching cartoons. I still enjoy watching Barney and some other 5 year old cartoons-mainly with my younger cousins- and I’m proud of it! I still have a childish side somewhere deep inside you know.

Oh and about the tags, I’m kinda lazy to do them at the moment. Sorry guys…

I visited Wondermilk last week. It’s located in Damansara Uptown. It was hard to find a parking there. I always wanted to go there but didn’t have the chance. Until now that is. I’ve seen pretty good reviews about the place in magazines, forums and blogs. The place was really cool. Very vintage but it’s kinda small though. I had a Beef Rasher sandwich and my mom a BBQ chicken. It was sooo awesome…! One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. They were 6 bucks each. Compared to the sandwich I had at Starbucks was RM 13++, 6 bucks is fairly priced.

Then we tapau 4 cupcakes. I only liked one, which was the Chocolate Marshmallow flavoured. That was the one with the simplest design. The others were decorated very fancily and were too creamy. They weren’t up to my taste. The smell of the whipped cream was super strong to me.

The Chocolate Marshmallow is the one with the mini red heart on it.
